Brian Fielkow — Owner President
“Ensuring that the details are taken care of is at the heart of what Jetco provides its customers.”
- Brian Fielkow, Jetco owner and president
Since purchasing Jetco Delivery, a 30-plus-year-old company, in 2006 Brian Fielkow has maintained a business philosophy of providing an extra level of service to anticipate customers’ every need. To accomplish this philosophy, he has focused on maintaining employee continuity, integrating technology and improving the quality of the company’s fleet to get Jetco there. It is his attention to detail that has allowed Jetco to grow by customizing services to exact customer requirements. With a focus on serving the Houston and Gulf Coast region, Jetco drivers are able to maintain a quality of life reflective of the benefit of local and regional delivery. The opportunity for drivers to make it home almost every night is only one of the benefits Fielkow insists on for his employees. Since the acquisition, he has improved employee benefit packages and added incentives through bonuses for safety. By developing long term, fully engaged employees, Jetco is able to create an unparalleled customer experience. Jetco’s implementation of GPS and email systems in Jetco’s trucks allows drivers to be more efficient and customers to feel more secure.
At Jetco and in past positions, Fielkow has worked in industries that are generally perceived as being commoditized. Fielkow is an expert in “de-commoditizing” his businesses by creating unique and measurable value propositions for his employees and customers.
Fielkow began his professional career as a lawyer in 1989 upon earning a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin and J.D. from the Northwestern University School of Law. His experience as Executive Vice President of Recycle America Alliance, a subsidiary of Waste Management, Inc. and Chief Operating Officer of The Peltz Group, brought 10 years of corporate growth management, and leadership of over $700M in operations. Although he has the knowledge, experience and passion behind him to grow the company rapidly, he wants Jetco’s growth to remain steady to help maintain the quality of service Jetco provides its customers.
In his free time, he enjoys the company of his wife and three children. The Wisconsin native is an avid music lover. He has lived in Houston since 2003. Fielkow’s interest in doing his part for the community shows through his recent addition of greater fuel-efficient and lower sulfur-emitting trucks to his fleet and continued donations to Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas.
Some of Fielkow’s accolades include:
- 2010 Vistage National Member Leadership Award
- Recognized in Inc. Magazine’s 2011 Inc. 5000
