Jetco recently created Jetco Heavy Haul LLC, which provides our customers with an expanded suite of trucking, logistics and project management services.
The fleet of first-rate trucks and trailers now comprises the more than 85 trucks ready to serve our customers throughout the Houston area and beyond.
“We’ve added this heavy haul service because our customers have asked us for it,” said Brian Fielkow, president of Jetco Delivery. “As with all of our services, we will always go the extra mile to provide our customers with safe and timely service that they have come to expect from Jetco through the years.”
Fielkow said Jetco’s commitment is to be the “best-in-class” trucking and logistics partner to our regular customers.
“Part of that commitment means a full service of offerings - from a single pallet to an oversized load - for our customers,” he said. “Our new heavy haul expansion is another important step toward meeting our goal. We’re very excited about this opportunity and we’re looking forward to utilizing this fleet to help all of our customers.”

FLATBED TRAILER
The flatbed trailer has a continuous running deck and can haul machinery with heights up to 9’. Other variations include a stretch flatbed, which can be expanded to haul a single self-supporting piece of machinery or I-beams with lengths ranging from 48’ up to 80’. If the height of your machinery exceeds 9’ you will need to use a single drop or double drop trailer.
SINGLE-DROP TRAILER
The single drop trailer has a drop in its deck height, as shown above, and provides a continuous running deck that can haul machinery with heights up to 10’6”. The front deck can be used for machinery with heights up to 8’5”. Other variations include a stretch single drop, which can be expanded to haul a single self-supporting piece of machinery with lengths ranging from 38’ up to 62’ with heights up to 10’4”. If the height of your machinery exceeds 10’6” you will need to use a double drop trailer.
DOUBLE-DROP TRAILER
The double drop trailer has a drop in the front and a rise in the rear of its main deck as shown above. It provides a main deck that can haul machinery with heights of 12’ without permits and higher with permits. The front deck can be used for machinery with heights up to 8’5”. The rear deck can be used to haul machinery with heights of 9’4”.
For Billy Ezernack and Jeff Hopper, it’s all about the challenge. That’s the first thing they’ll tell you when you ask why they like their job. Heading up Jetco’s Heavy Haul operations means the two of them face increasing challenges everyday to safely and efficiently move oversized and heavy cargo to its destination.
“Every job we do has its own unique demands and takes a different approach to meet the customer’s needs,” said Ezernack, who has worked as the dispatcher at Heavy Haul for eight years and has been in the trucking business for more than 32 years. Read more about Jeff and Billy here.
