Heavy haul manager is up for the challenge.

Wes Muse is a living example of keeping cool under pressure. In fact, Muse, who is the manager of Jetco Heavy Haul, says that moving heavy equipment and dealing with the day-to-day pressure that comes with organizing, planning and coordinating the routes for delivering large cargo has a calming influence on him.
“It seems like most of the time, when there’s more stress involved, the calmer I get,” Muse says. His nearly two decades of experience in the trucking business can’t hurt either. He’s worked as a driver, dispatcher, terminal manager, district manager and safety manager during that time for a variety of different trucking companies.
Today he heads up Jetco’s Heavy Haul division where he puts together rates, handles dispatching, maintains the yard, makes sales call and works with customers.
“I love what I do,” says Muse, who grew up in the New Braunfels/San Antonio area but moved to Houston when he met his wife. “From an early age, I knew I wanted to be in this business, and I kept taking on more and more challenging jobs.”
Muse says Jetco is different from its competitors because customers understand that with Jetco they’re getting peace of mind that the truck that handles their cargo is going to be safe and that it will be driven correctly. “Everything is done by the book here, and I enjoy working for a company that can offer that type of service,” he says.
When he’s not mapping out the next heavy haul route or working with customers to troubleshoot a particularly vexing delivery, Muse enjoys spending time with his wife and their son and daughter. As a family they enjoying fishing, boating, sports and riding motorcycles.
