Brian Fielkow, CEO
Since purchasing Jetco in 2006, Brian has maintained a business philosophy of providing an extra level of service to anticipate customers’ every need. To accomplish this philosophy, he has focused on maintaining employee continuity, integrating technology and improving the quality of the company’s fleet. By creating unique and measurable value propositions for his employees and clients, Brian has worked to “de-commoditize” the business to separate Jetco from its competitors.
Brian began his professional career as a lawyer in 1989 after earning a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin and J.D. from the Northwestern University School of Law. Prior to acquiring Jetco, he served as executive vice president of Recycle America Alliance, a subsidiary of Waste Management Inc., and chief operating officer of The Peltz Group. He is the author of Driving to Perfection: Achieving Business Excellence by Creating a Vibrant Company Culture — a “how to” guide for business leaders to grow their company by establishing a sustainable and healthy company culture.
A Wisconsin native, he has lived in Houston since 2003 with his wife and three children.
Kyle Kristynik, President
Kyle joined Jetco in March 2012 as the Finance/Accounting Manager and has since taken on the responsibilities of overseeing the company’s Safety & Compliance, Human Resources, and Maintenance departments. He is also actively involved in leading the various banking, legal, and insurance relationships for the company. Kyle considers his biggest strength to be his continued quest to expand his knowledge of the business, all the while never losing touch with the most important asset of the company ― its people.
Kyle began his career as a staff accountant at Goodman Manufacturing before eventually becoming the Controller for one of their four factories which was located in Fayetteville, Tennessee. He played football at Trinity University, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Accounting in 2004, and went on to get his Master’s degree from Texas A&M University in 2005. He was born and raised in northwest Houston and still resides in that area with his wife, Tiffany, and two sons, Klayton and Klein. Kyle loves spending his spare time watching sports, golfing, and spending time in the outdoors with his family and friends.
Operations & Customer Service
Kim Light, Director of Operations
Kim embraces the fact that Jetco’s specialized services can meet our customers’ every logistic need. She understands that honesty and integrity are the keys to the success of any company. Kim assists with all business aspects of Jetco, including brokerage, compliance and trucking operations. She also manages all of Jetco’s Standard Operating Procedures, as well as specialized services such as Hazmat, In Bond, and High Value Transport.
Bringing more than 15 years of logistics experience to Jetco, Kim began her career in Wisconsin in the solid waste industry as a route supervisor. She later moved to the recycling side of the waste industry as a dispatch assistant and was quickly promoted to regional logistics manager, where she managed five Midwest states’ recycling collection for Recycle America Alliance, owned by Waste Management.
Bob Gruber, Operations Manager
As Operations Manager for Jetco Delivery, Bob works with all departments to ensure that customers, drivers and employees are taken care of. A major part of his focus is on the development and growth of the open deck division their accomplishments. He works extensively with the LTL/Van division and assists them with schedules, problem resolution and development.

Bob has more than 20 years of experience in managing personal in various environments and geographical locations ― from ground transportation LTL, TL, FB and Van, to air transportation personnel and equipment. He has a background in case management, counseling, team development, employment recruiting and job enhancement.
His favorite things are people, parachuting, boating, beaches, and out of the ordinary places.
Marty Haines, Intermodal Manager
Marty is a problem solver. “That’s what I do,” said Marty, who has been with Jetco since 2005. “I thrive on listening to my customers and truly understanding whatever their issue might be. Then it’s up to me to develop a solution that meets their needs.”
For Marty, who has spent his entire career in logistics and transportation first with Union Pacific and now in the trucking industry, Jetco provides the perfect fit for his skills.
“I just love working with people,” Marty said. “I get the support I need here to develop the solutions my customers demand. I believe Jetco provides premium service and exceptional follow-up.”
Part of that follow-up, he said, is touching base with each customer to ensure that every load made it to its destination in good order. “That follow up is vital to our success,” he said.
When he’s not working with customers at Jetco, the University of Tennessee graduate can be found with his wife at one of the many Texas state parks hiking and camping.
Cynthia Franco, Customer Service Representative
Cynthia is the HOT SEAT! She is responsible for making sure that each customer is responded to in a timely manner and that each email is directed to correct division for assistance. She provides back-up for material in and out of the warehouse, manages all driver paperwork, and scans all TIR’s, DT into ITS for processing of payroll. She is also the lead on all hazardous cargo and makes sure all paperwork is accurate. She has been working in customer service for 15 years.
When she’s not working, Cynthia enjoys reading and spending time with her family. “I do what I do for my family. Time is precious, and my children are my number one priority.”
Rebecca Gaustad, Intermodal Customer Service Rep
Rebecca is responsible for scheduling and booking loads to and from the ports or railroads, problem solving and supporting our customers. She recently joined the container business and enjoys it because it can be both challenging and interesting.
When she’s not at Jetco, Rebecca loves to cook, both at home and competitively, play guitar, read and spend time with her young daughter.
Ron Light, Shop Manager
Ron is responsible for making sure that Jetco equipment is kept safe and D.O.T. legal. He has been with Jetco for more than seven years and worked with semi-trucks and trailers for more than 25 years.
“My commitment to safe equipment goes above and beyond legalities. I am passionate about what I do and want to ensure our team is working with the best equipment.”
When he’s not at Jetco, Ron is racing four wheelers and spending time with his family.
Sales & Rates
Mauris Mattern, Rates, Founder
One of the three founders, Mauris began Jetco on a borrowed loan from his father and a rented service station on Ritten House Road. Mauris grew the company from three to 60 trucks and was the primary business development executive. During the early 80s and again in the early 90s, Jetco experienced substantial growth, allowing it to add equipment and services. Today, Mauris serves as the primary consultant for rates, customer service, billing and special projects. Mauris attended the University of Houston and South Texas Community College.
Amy Koziol, Rates
Amy receives and distribute all emails that come to the Rates team, and assists in quoting and putting together project quotes and rate sheets. She has been in the transportation industry for three and a half years, and credits her Jetco team for everything she has learned. “I enjoy and appreciate the family culture that is Jetco. It’s something that just develops. It can’t be contrived.”
In her spare time Amy enjoys hanging out with her family and cooking.
Michael Accomando, Vice President of Business Development
Mike brings more than 30 years of hands-on experience in strategic planning, business unit development, project and product management, and system engineering strategies to Jetco. Prior to joining Jetco, Mike served as vice president of transportation at Weber Logistics, overseeing sales, operations and the strategic direction of the company. Before working at Weber, Mike oversaw 13 LTL terminal locations throughout Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Arkansas as R+L Carrier’s regional director of operations. Previous to that, he spent nearly 25 years at Con-Way Freight/Consolidated Freightways.
Hubert Flores, Sales
Hubert has spent more than 20 years in the trucking industry, working as a driver, in customer service, dispatch, safety and sales. He still holds a commercial driver’s license with a HAZMAT certification and believes that gives him an advantage when he meets with customers.
“I can drive up to a facility, take one look at the freight in the yard and know how we can help a customer,” said Hubert, a Texas native. “Coming up with a solution for customers is invaluable.”
When he’s not meeting with customers or at Jetco’s offices, Flores loves to spend time with his family.
Steve Simmons, Business Development/Project Manager
Steve does a little bit of everything for Jetco, from sales and rates, to project management (onsite and offsite), assisting in operations and rates where needed, finding new opportunities for Jetco and onboarding new customers.
“I like the fact that every day at Jetco is usually different for me. I am able to utilize my strengths and grab on where I see the need. At Jetco, we are not only a team but a family as well. I never want to let my fellow teammates down; we all step up for each other!”
Steve joined the industry almost 20 years ago. After getting out of the military, he joined a small trucking outfit in 1996 and eventually started his own business in 2002 which he sold to Jetco in 2011.
“When I’m not enthralled in this crazy 24/7 business, I enjoy first and foremost my family and friends. I love saltwater fishing, outdoor grilling with friends over adult beverages and some good jams, camping, traveling, and kayaking. My favorite sport is NASCAR followed by football.”
Matt Sorrentino, Manager
Matt joined Jetco in early 2010 after working for several years in the transportation and logistics industry. A native Houstonian and a 1999 graduate of Sam Houston State University, Matt oversees the Jetco Logistics team, which is responsible for matching loads with a trusted freight company that can move cargo confidently and provide the same level of outstanding service that thrives at Jetco.
Vanessa Thrasher, Logistics Coordinator
Vanessa’s role is to track, trace and help with LTL brokerage by quoting, coordinating and managing shipments. She has been in the Logistics industry for 10 years, but says that Jetco is the best place she has worked.
“I appreciate Jetco’s core values, our tight knit team and the atmosphere. Even when there are stressful days, it is not a stressful environment.”
In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with her kids, is huge movie buff, a part time book editor, and loves to read.
Johnny Flores, Logistics
Johnny has been with Jetco since 2011 and is responsible for brokerage quotes, thinking on the fly and overseeing daily brokerage operations such as booking loads, dispatching broker carriers, communicating to customers, and coordinating with shippers and receivers.
“I enjoy working at Jetco because I am given the chance to learn new things so I have the ability to grow and expand my knowledge. Management also has an open door policy, so I feel like my input into this company matters. I always wanted to be a truck driver when I was a kid because my father and grandfather drove 18-wheelers. Even though I didn’t become a driver, I feel like I have accomplished my goal since I work in this industry with drivers on a daily basis. I’m proud to have the opportunity to help them out when they are put in tough situations.”
When he’s not at Jetco, you can find Johnny spending time with his wife and daughter, and checking out what’s going on in the Houston sports world.
Tori Esparza, Safety Assistant
Tori has been in the trucking industry for more than 7 years, starting as an Accounts Receivables & Collections Representative to working in the Safety Department as a Safety Assistant. She says she loves the position she’s in, “There is something new to learn every day, which in turn builds my knowledge so that I may one day pursue my career as Director of Safety.”
Tori enjoys working at Jetco because everyone is treated like family. “We work hard, and at the end of the day, whether we work in customer service, dispatching or driving for Jetco, we also believe taking the time to get to know one another. We have a motto at Jetco: ‘Follow the car in front of you as if your family and loved ones are in it.’ That is why my husband, son and family are the reason safety at work and home is so important to me.”
Jeff McKinney, Director of Field Safety
As a NATMI Certified Director of Safety, Jeff has created and managed excellent driver safety and training programs. He has more than 16 years of experience in DOT safety compliance, driver training, driver recruiting, accident investigations, driver management and operations management. Jeff spends his days ensuring that Jetco drivers are making the safest decisions on the road. Along with the rest of the safety team, he leads weekly safety meetings to educate and remind Jetco drivers and staff of the proper safety measure that must be taken when securing and moving a load.
Finance & Administration
Jay DeBray, Controller
Jay’s responsibilities include the preparation and review of the monthly financial reports, ensuring all revenues and expenses are accounted for. He also handles customer billing issues and new customer credit applications and invoicing, as well as new vendor reviews. Originally from The Woodlands, Texas, Jay earned both his master’s and bachelors’ degrees in accounting from Texas State University in 2007. His hobbies include hunting, fishing and golfing.
Nancy Reyes, Accounting Specialist
Nancy is responsible for the maintenance invoices and reports, safety filing and DVIR reports, and equipment reports. She works closely with our shop team and has been in the trucking industry for 10 years. In her spare time, Nancy likes to read, walk and hang out with her family.

Lori Zold, Accounting Administrator
Lori is responsible for invoice processing, entries for payables, Human Resource objectives and filing. She has been part of the Jetco team since 2006. “I love the family atmosphere ― it is above any other work environment out there.”
Originally from Wisconsin, Lori enjoys being outside and anything that involves being able to spend time with her two sons and her new granddaughter. She also enjoys being with her new QUAD family of racers.
Jamie Cormier, Executive Assistant
As Executive Assistant to Brian Fielkow, Jamie is responsible for the overall coordination of scheduling, events and assisting all team members when needed. She has been a Jetco team member since 2011 and supported Brian when he was Executive Vice President of Recycle America Alliance.
“I love having the opportunity to interact with every Jetco employee – from our office staff to our drivers.”
When she’s not at work, Jamie enjoys spending time with her two daughters and grandchildren, crafting and photography.
Robert Kane, IT Manager
With more than 10 years of experience in planning, design and implementation of logistics management and materials management systems, Robert oversees Jetco’s TransPortal, conducting on-site customer training; manages our internal IT system, and works with office staff and drivers when it comes to their technology needs.
“I love being challenged, and, in my role, no one day is the same. My customers are not only external, but our internal team, too, and I like having the opportunity to work with such a talented group of people.”
Nothing is more important to Robert than his kids, and when he’s not at work, you’ll find cheering on his girls at a softball game or spending time with his son.
Lisa Sursavage, Director of Marketing and Public Relations
Lisa oversees the all aspects of Jetco’s marketing and public relations ― from writing marketing collateral to handling press outreach, maintaining Jetco’s social media presence, coordinating events and handling internal and external communication. Additionally, Lisa coordinates all speaking engagements for Jetco president Brian Fielkow as he travels throughout the world teaching companies how to create a vibrant company culture like the one at Jetco.
She has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in English from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, and more than eight years of experience in nonprofit and corporate marketing and PR. She is a certified yoga instructor, teaching throughout Houston, and loves traveling and being outdoors.
Andrew Zapata, Customer Service Representative
Andrew books the loads for dry vans, flatbeds, stepdecks and flatracks, keeping communication flowing between Jetco drivers and customers. Having been in customer service for eight years, Andrew knows what needs to be done to meet and exceed customer needs.
“I love everything about my job. From my co-workers, the work ethics, my bosses and my customers. I feel that this is the first place I’ve worked at that takes really good care of their employees.”
Outside of Jetco, Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. He has been rapping for 17 years and is a huge food lover.
